More About Bridges

If you’re missing one or more teeth or have a gap in between teeth, a dental bridge may be the solution for you! In a nutshell, a bridge is connected to your existing teeth and is used to seal the gap.

Composed of materials such as gold, metal, alloys or porcelain, a dental bridge is strong, durable, and built to last many years.

Process

Healing…
The healing process is typically a smooth one. While a new bridge may take a little bit of adjustment, after a few days it should feel just as normal as natural teeth. It’s recommended that you eat soft foods for a few days following the bridge placement and when comfortable transition to your regular habits. Of course, our team will go over all of this information with you during your visit.

Keep in Mind…
When considering restoring the smile one should take into account —aesthetics aside— that more severe problems can arise from a missing tooth. These include structural shifts in the mouth and jaw, which may results in difficulty eating or speaking normally.

Before we can actually perform the treatment, we recommend coming in for a consultation so we can discuss your case specifically and put together a few options for you.

a great way to
replace missing teeth

Have you lost one or more teeth? You may be a great candidate for a dental bridge. A well-crafted porcelain bridge looks just like your natural teeth and restores your smile to its original health and function.

As the name suggests, this treatment “bridges” the gap left in your mouth by a missing tooth. With this procedure, the bridge is held in place by the healthy teeth adjacent to the gap in your smile.

Dental bridges are fixed in place and considered by many to be a better alternative to removable partial dentures. We’ll help you decide if this treatment is right for you.
